Required Documents
The documents you need for a Trabzon Kart depend on the card type. A full-fare card needs no documents; discounted and free cards are personalised (with a photo), and you apply with a document proving your entitlement. Applications are made at the TULAŞ Application and Card Centre (Pazarkapı, next to Hanife Hatun Mosque).

Public servants such as police, TÜİK, PTT, forestry and customs guards and municipal police apply with proof of workplace; institutions applying as a group add an official letter, a name list and photos.
Before you apply
- Photo: discounted and free cards carry a photo. The regulation does not list a photo for individual applications, so ask Alo 153 whether to bring a passport photo or whether it is taken at the centre. Group applications from schools and institutions include photos.
- Visa: student and teacher cards are renewed every October; other personalised cards one year after the first application. The visa needs the same documents as the first application; a card without a visa is charged the full fare.
- Visa for over-65s: if the holder cannot come, a first-degree blood relative can apply with a detailed civil registry record issued at most 10 days before.
- Lost or broken card: apply to the card application service for a new card and pay the card fee. If you turn a full-fare card into a photo "standard card", its balance can be moved to a new card if you lose it.
