Operating hours

We could not find an official, fixed timetable with first and last departures for Trabzon minibuses. Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality’s 2026 announcements only name the departure points; a dolmuş leaves when it is full.

Vehicles leave often at busy times of the day; the first and last departure depend on the line, the day and the season.
On distant district and highland lines (Şalpazarı, Tonya, Çaykara, Uzungöl, Hamsiköy and similar) departures are less frequent; if you need to come back in the evening, ask the driver about the last vehicle when you get on.
If a municipal bus runs the same way, check its timetable too: bus first and last departures are published.

The old stands at Köprüaltı and in front of the post office moved to Fatih Parkı, Meydan and the Mumhane / Pazarkapı areas in the 2026 reorganisation. City neighbourhood services leave from here.

A new 21-vehicle departure area was built beneath Fatih Parkı, and the old Köprüaltı services moved into it.
The Meydan area, beside the old Baro and Fatih Parkı, carries the busy KTÜ, airport and medical faculty services.
Only a few vehicles wait in front of Mumhane; as one fills and leaves, another comes up from the holding area.

Eastern districts

District minibuses towards Yomra, Arsin, Araklı, Of, Sürmene and Çaykara leave from the eastern part of the Pazarkapı holding area.

Western districts

Services towards Akçaabat, Vakfıkebir, Çarşıbaşı, Beşikdüzü, Düzköy, Tonya and Şalpazarı use the western Pazarkapı holding area.

Vehicles arriving from the west may only set passengers down at the Tanjant, then move on to the holding area under Fatih Parkı.
The Akçaabat service is one of the busiest western links — expect crowds morning and evening.
On the longer routes — Şalpazarı, Tonya, Beşikdüzü — the gap between services is wider. Ask the driver when the last one leaves.

South — the Maçka and highland corridor

Maçka district and the southern village and highland routes leave from Pazarkapı East. Sümela Monastery and Hamsiköy get extra services when tourist demand calls for them.

Maçka dolmuş services use the eastern Pazarkapı area; boarding is in front of Mumhane Müftü Camii.
In winter the Hamsiköy and highland roads can mean delays or cancellations.

Where do I get on?

For district minibuses the Pazarkapı living area, east and west of Hanife Hatun Camii, is the holding ground. Boarding is usually in front of Mumhane Müftü Camii, and drop-off is outside the old provincial administration building. For journeys inside the city, use the Fatih Parkı and Meydan stands.

How do I pay?

On most district services you pay the driver in cash, or by whatever the vehicle accepts. The TrabzonKart fare on city buses is not necessarily the dolmuş fare — check the price and any student discount as you board.

How often do they run?

Dolmuş services leave when they fill up, so not every route runs to a fixed timetable. Vehicles come more often at peak times; late in the evening, ask the driver about the last one.

Bus or dolmuş?

An AKUS city bus may cover the same corridor — the Akçaabat, Maçka and Yomra coded routes, for example. For card payment, step-free access or live tracking, check the bus times pages too.
