TrabzonKart Card Types

The travel cards used on public transport in Trabzon offer different fares and entitlements depending on the passenger. This page summarises the card families in plain terms; exact fares and application conditions can change over time.

Standard (full fare) card

This is the basic card for general passengers. Anyone without a discount entitlement is charged the standard fare on buses. Depending on local practice, the card may be personalised or anonymous.

  • Identity checks are usually lighter than for other card types.
  • Top up at a kiosk or another authorised point.
  • If you lose it, replacement goes through a card centre.

Student card

This is the reduced-fare entitlement defined for students. You document your current student status when you apply, and renewal may be required at the start of each term. For details, see the student card page.

  • Conditions differ between universities, secondary schools and other levels of education.
  • The discount can be suspended when your documentation expires.
  • Use by anyone other than the cardholder may be blocked.

Discounted and free cards

Cards are also issued on the basis of age, disability, veteran status, employment or other entitlements defined in the regulations. This group requires a wider set of documents and may be checked periodically.

  • Proof of entitlement is submitted together with identity documents.
  • A photograph and the holder's name are often printed on the card.
  • When the entitlement ends, you may need to move to a standard card.
