Notes on seasonal routes (2026)
Pegasus summer 2026 routes
The announced plan lists seasonal services to Jeddah (≈ 12 Jun–18 Sep, three a week), Kuwait (from ≈ 8 June, twice a week) and Medina (≈ 11 Jun–18 Sep, twice a week). Check the airline for exact days and times.
Tehran and Cairo, 2026
Scheduled Tehran–Trabzon flights are planned to start on 11 August 2026 and run on Tuesdays and Fridays until 23 October. Charter flights to Cairo were announced for the summer; charter timings follow the agency’s programme.
Winter and shoulder season
In winter the European and some Gulf seasonals thin out or stop, while the backbone routes — Istanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Doha and Baku — generally continue. Extra domestic flights are often added around public holidays and New Year.

Routes along the coast road are the cheap way into Meydan and Sahil Peron. Pay with a TrabzonKart.
Dolmuş / minibus
Dolmuş services on the coastal corridor pass close to the airport. For district routes, change at Pazarkapı.

Car hire
Several desks in the terminal. Flexible for an Uzungöl, Sümela or Ayder itinerary — book around your flight.
Private transfer
Book ahead for a hotel, a highland trip or a group. The usual choice for late arrivals and families with luggage.

Short and long stay parking (about 288 spaces). Check the current tariff on the terminal signs or with DHMİ.
Getting there from the districts
Ortahisar / city centre
HAVAŞ, city bus, taxi or a short drive. About 7 km to the centre.
For Meydan and the seafront platforms take a bus or HAVAŞ; for door to door, a taxi.
Yomra
The eastern coast road; city bus or dolmuş, or 15–25 minutes by taxi.
One of the closest districts to the airport — easy to reach an early flight by taxi.
Arsin · Araklı · Of · Sürmene
Eastern coastal bus and dolmuş routes, or a taxi. Allow longer for Of and Sürmene.
For an early flight it is safer to stay in the centre the night before, or to arrange a transfer.
Akçaabat · Çarşıbaşı · Vakfıkebir · Beşikdüzü
To the west: connect via the centre on HAVAŞ or a bus, or go direct by taxi or transfer.
Coming from the Beşikdüzü–Şalpazarı corridor takes a while — plan to set off at least three hours before your flight.
Maçka · Hamsiköy
The southern corridor; a Pazarkapı dolmuş plus a taxi, or a direct transfer.
Highland roads can be slow in winter; a private transfer is the usual answer for a Sümela day trip.
Çaykara · Uzungöl
About 90–100 km; private transfer, hire car, or a dolmuş changing at Of or Çaykara.
For a same-day trip, land early — or plan a night in Uzungöl.
Rize route
The seasonal HAVAŞ Rize–Trabzon service, or an intercity coach or private car.

On the D010 corridor: quick connections by bus, dolmuş or taxi east towards Yomra and Of, and west towards Akçaabat and Beşikdüzü.
Workable for a day trip
A same-day transfer to Uzungöl, Sümela or Ayder is realistic — landing in the morning and catching an evening flight is possible.

How far is Trabzon Airport from the city centre?

How do I get from the airport to KTÜ?
Gate C of the Kanuni campus is about a 15-minute walk along the coast road, or 5–10 minutes by taxi. For points inside the campus, head for Gate A or B instead.
